Abraham McPike, [born Sept. 24, 1824] died January 14, 1873 (A monument 12 feet high and costing $850, was placed over the grave of Capt. Abraham McPike, six miles west of new London one day last week.  It was manufactured in Louisiana and is said to be the finest monument in Northeast Missouri.  In February 10, 1876 Ralls Co. Record.)
