"Up north in Vietnam 1968 at the Rockpile just a few clicks from the DMZ. I blew this dud with C-4 right after this pic. I was an idiot for even touching it, notice fuse hanging on partially. Good pic though!"

"This is the view from the ranch I grew up on. It's the north side of Tucson Arizona. Those are the Catalina mountains, reaching 9,975 feet. Life was the best ever when we lived there, my entire family." "On the other side of this range is the tiny town of Catalina. At one time, it was the best rabbit hunting spot in Arizona. Lots of Quail and dove as well, oh yes, and, coyotes in droves! 3500 chickens attracted alot of them."

"CH-34 departing Hill 190. That is the Namo River in background. I flew in these more than any other type helicopter. Pilot is using gravity to get this "ground lover" in the air. And, flying off a carrier, 90 miles out to sea in one of these. People wonder why I have grey hair!" " In 1969, flying "off" the LPD Duluth, one of the landing gear hit the rail of the catwalk. We "bounced off" and went on our merry way to the Batangan Peninsula. I have a model of one of these on my desk. Once, on a "milk run", the pilots let us shoot sharks. There were hundreds, what a show!"

"No one believes how this walleye jumped and that I was quick enough to catch it with my teeth. I should join the circus!"

"First time pilot, freaked out my buddies in back but I couldn't resist the chance. Flew for about 100 miles. My buddy Sean the pilot took pic. 1st flight into Wapikopa from Pickle Lake, 140 miles. It's 400 to fly in from Thunder Bay but just as fast because of first leg (365 mi.) in Pilatus 1hr. 10 min. to Ojibway village then a quick hop in a float plane to Wapikopa."
