"Mother was extroverted, very smart, good cook, good mother, when mother went away rarely for missionary meetings, Dad catered to us. Big difference in their ages but they made it work. She made dresses, I always got hand me downs because I was the youngest. Mother was a leader in the women's group at church. Studied the Bible. Good cook, made 4-5 loaves of bread every Wednesday. Had a big yard with fruit trees and roses. Mother played the piano at Williamstown Baptist Church before I took over." Frances Clinkscales Stanley:

"My mother, Anna Blanchet Clinkscales, and oldest sister, Anna Clinkscales Kinsey, played piano for years for the church. There were 6 of us children and we all had to take piano. I was athletic but not musically inclined. When I went to college when I was 18 my mother gave me a Bible that said, "To my daughter, Rosemary" but my birth certificate says, "Eugenia" and I had it legally changed to Rosemary.
