Lovee and Angeline Blanchet lived a mile and a half from where Frances Clinkscales Stanley lives now. "They lived near the railroad and Lovee sat on the porch and counted the railroad cars. All he liked to do was fox hunting. Every time I went over to visit there was a fox in the barrel in the yard. There are several Blanchet's buried in the Williamstown Cemetery. Mount Blanc was named after our family. His great grandmother was the first woman to climb the mountain in France." Frances Clinkscales Stanley

Lovee Blanchet's French Ancestry

Blanchet - "According to Mom (Frances Louise Carter), these ancestors (HND & Henrietta Blanchet) were French perfume manufacturers who left Paris due to the French Revolution and the fear of meeting the guillotine."
