Peter Vardeman signed 3 petitions between 1782-1788 when Kentucky was still part of Virginia. He asked for better government or for Kentucky to be given its independence from Virginia, for Bourbon County to be split based on the terrain so those north of Licking Creek wouldn't have to pass a dangerous area infested by savages on their way to the court house, and for a tobacco inspection building to be built on the land of one of the residents closer to their homes. |
