John F Vardaman formerly of Goldfield, NV has returned to camp to see what is doing in the boom. Mr. Vardaman was one of the pioneer brokers of the Cripple Creek district and ranked as the leading broker of Goldfield until two years ago, when he retired with a fortune shortly after the Jumbo Ex boom, to his old home in Mississippi. His brother is United States Senator from Mississippi. Vardaman was offered the land office at Carson City five years ago, and the postmaster at Goldfield, but declined the appointments.
