| George Washington Vardeman and Mary Francis Butler Vardeman Family about 1890 Children:
Fannie (21), Mollie (19), Ella (17), Georgia (15), Willey (13), Ayers (11), Bonnie (9), and Daisy (3)
"This is a photo of George Washington Vardeman and Mary Francis Butler and their children. Taken sometime between 1890 (Mary Francis is holding Little Bossie's hat and he died in 1890) and 1893 when George Washington Vardeman died. My great grandmother, Daisie Sally, is the youngest in the photo, sitting next to George Washington. They were in Hubbard, TX by this point."
"I am not sure why George Washington Jr. (1884-1890) was called Little Bossie. The story that my grandma told me about his death was that he got tangled up in a prickly pear patch and got blood poisoning from the wounds."
