| Newspaper Article 1905 04/30 The Atlanta Constitution Atlanta, GA Parthenia Antoinette Vardeman retells the story of her grandfather Colonel Joseph Vardeman fighting the Indians during the second war with Great Britain when the Indians took advantage of trying to exterminate the whites in Georgia. Joseph named his son, Thomas Butts Vardeman, after Captain Thomas Buttes who was killed in the battle of Chalibee in Alabama. This is an interesting story worth reading all the details. |
