"We traveled about 8,000 miles in over 8 weeks, saw about 114 people, camped out in our van about 12 nights, stayed in motels about 18 nights, in timeshares 10 nights, and with family and friends about 20 nights. The only mechanical problem we had with our van was to replace two universal joints in Las Cruces, NM. We had a wonderful time visiting family and friends." Larry |

"I led about a dozen backpacking trip down the Grandview Trail to Horseshoe Mesa and below. We almost always camped on the top of Horseshoe Mesa the first and last nights near the right edge of the upward-turned cleat on the near side of the horseshoe. One of my favorite memories is watching a golden eagle at sunset sailing along the edge of the redwall cliff on the east side of the Mesa and whistling to me as he dove into the Canyon when he was startled by my presence."
