28 Nov 2021 "Michelle, you may want to put this book on your "want" list: JAMESTOWN BRIDES. It's available both in hardback and on e-media. Our direct ancestress, Adria Hoare plays a prominent part. Granted, most of the book gives the background of the project, but enough was known about her that she was one of few given her own chapter. Also, my profile pic on Ancestry is a photo of the Elizabethan script as it was recorded by those vetting her for her morality to be approved to go to Jamestown."

7/30/23 - I am finishing reading the book. It was interesting to learn about Audry's skill in fine embroidery and follow the path her ship took to America. She died very young at about age 25 when her child, Mary Harris, was an infant. The book does not paint a flattering portrayal of her husband Captain Thomas Harris.
