Taylor - Vardiman - Cowan Ranch in Texas
"In eastern Lampasas County sits the long-standing Cowan Ranch founded by Harry Morgan Taylor in 1873 and acquired in 1884. In approximately the late 1930s William Albert Cowan, Sr. and Laura Evelyn Vardiman Cowan moved from the old Arnold-Taylor property in Topsey, Texas to the west end of Harry Morgan Taylor's ranch place to raise their three children William A. "Dub" Cowan, Jr., Maurene Cowan Edwards and Bettye Sue Cowan Pruett to continue the farming and ranching tradition." Kay Cowan
