Architectural Wonder:
The famous Trocadero fountains were created for the 1937 exhibition,
and around these were grouped most of the foreign pavilions (190
large and small buildings). The old Palais de Trocadero, built for
the 1878 exhibition, was taken down and replaced with the Palais de
Chaillot, which still stands today and has one of the best views of
the Eiffel tower, which was built for the 1889 world
fair/exposition.
